Deep figurative oil pastel painting with a limited palette.

This is the last painting of the limited palette oil pastel painting challenge. I was supposed to make 30 of them, but I don’t have enough red oil pastel to finish this personal challenge.

I learned a lot doing this series, I know that I prefer painting people, I feel more connections to my painting than a landscape. I like deep shadows, silhouette,  people in actions.

Starting with a bright underpainting changed everything in my painting, I will try next paintings with watercolor underpainting.

I named this painting « Listen to your soul » to close this series.

Now it’s time for me to paint on bigger size, my oil pastel are big and I need more space to make better strokes!
