Day 4 of my oil pastel art personal challenge.
This is my first landscape drawing with the redish limited palette.
Pretty hard to shape these buildings on a small watercolor paper, this time I decided not to do a sketch before and try to exercice my brain with the reference photo.
This is a view of Brooklyn, on a hotel rooftop, I skipped the bridge on the background, first on my reference photo, the sky was foggy and the focus is on the big mass of buildings.
It took me too much time to do, I didn’t expect to spend too much time shaping. Now I know for the next oil pastel drawing ones, I need to find references with less details. Anyway it was fun to do and confidence is still rising here.
