Focus on yourself, give yourself the means

When it's time to invest in an art studio.

I visited two art studios this week, the first of which is a very large shared studio, with no possibility of having a locked locker. This was the first negative for me: the cost of materials to produce work is very high. You really have to use the most professional equipment you can find, otherwise it shows in the finished product.

Aside from the lack of a closed locker, sharing a 150 square meter space with several people would have been castrating for me. Apart from the emulsion of being several people in a room, which allows you to excel because others are working all around you. I could also have felt this imposter syndrome deep down inside me, constantly wondering if I belonged while next to me, they were doing masterpieces.

Where I was lucky, however, was when I visited the second art studio, set up in a third space and, above all… individual! To have 20 square meters to yourself, to paint, in Paris intra muros and 15 minutes from my home: I couldn’t have dreamed of anything better.

No more excuses for not tackling larger formats.
