Summer new art supplies

Summer is a great time to experiment, it’s my favorite season to try new things. This year I will try another oil pastel brand winsor & newton, the real reason was they didn’t have oil pastel from Sennelier at the art shop where I’m located, it’s cheaper, the seller told me they should be creamy, not as much as Sennelier but creamy… ok I will have a look.

Also I don’t see many artists using washi paper! This is top quality Japanese paper, I will try small format first and order more if the experience was good. It’s really great to paint with oil pastel on watercolor paper, so I expect the same results with this paper!

Finally, I wanted to try wood panel also, I did a lot of research, I don’t have time to prime with gesso, so this brand Ampersand is doing the job pretty well, they have a lot of different primed wood panels, I asked questions on instagram about which panel I should use with my medium, they answered really quickly!

I can’t wait to try these new art supplies!
